Hyundai i10

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) launches their new car called i10[i20] which is going to compete with maruti cars. With a low price band and many extra features this car is a sure shot buy though price is not the only factor and other factors like maintainence, mileage and others count in too. i10 would be counted in the small cars section since its smaller than getz which is another product of hyundai cars.

The name of this car seems to be copied from Apple products names like the iphone and ipod which clearly shows that the company is targetting the youth by giving a new generation name to the car and would challenge other cars currently in the market which include maruti wagon R , Zen estillo and the latest Chevrolet Spark. Hyundai i10 will be exported to all over the world from india and comes in 4 variants – Hyundai i10 D-Lite, Hyundai i10 Era, Hyundai i10 Magna and the automatic version Hyundai i10 D-Auto.

In a previous position at a different publication where long-term cars were company-owned and not donated by the automakers’ public relations departments, I vetoed a staff decision to lease a Volvo S60 instead of a Hyundai Elantra. This did not make me a popular person.

We had just turned in a BMW 328i and my spoiled cadre of writers and editors wanted another luxury sport sedan to tool around in for two years.

The new Volvo was a natural to fill the slot vacated by the BMW, they argued. However, Hyundai had just launched a redesigned Elantra with a terrific powertrain warranty, and it was my duty to keep the team and the content we produced sharply focused on the consumers who trusted us to tell them what cars to buy instead of what would make us look good rolling down Wilshire Avenue.

To my knowledge, no publication had ever conducted a long-term test on a Hyundai so I decided that the time had come to test the Korean automaker’s mettle. When our silver Elantra GLS sedan arrived, I gave the team this instruction: Beat on this car has hard as possible each and every time you drive it.

2012 Hyundai Veloster Edition

Hyundai unveiled its top three-door Hyundai coupe Veloster world premiere at the 2011 North American International Auto Show. The Veloster 2012 delivers innovations to the compact coupe segment, with one door others to access the rear seat easier, Hyundai Blue Link telematics system, Pandora Internet Radio, with seven-inch touch screen, and a new one, 6-liter direct-injection four cylinder engine mated to Hyundai’s transfer of dual-clutch in the first place. INSPIRATION FOR MOTORCYCLE
Hyundai Veloster unique design takes inspiration from a sport bike high performance. Veloster has the distinctive black pillars give the appearance of glass of a motorcycle helmet visor. In front is an aggressive form of the front grille of Hyundai signature hexagonal hood detailing, and unique signature Hyundai LED position. Optional packages add a grade chrome, black accents, fog lamps, and a huge panoramic sunroof.
In the profile Veloster Hyundai introduces “Fluidic Sculpture” character lines, muscular wheel arches, door handles and mirrors bodycolor, and the headlights and taillights surroundings. Hyundai Veloster comes standard with alloy wheels of 17 inches and offers two types of 18-inch wheels. The wheel’s top-of-the-line 18-inch painted comes with pads, a first segment.
Dynamic conception of Hyundai Veloster rear has a distinctive glass container, dual exhaust with chrome tips centered and lower fascia that complements the black front panel statement.
Inside, the center console and the controls are like a sport bike fuel tank and incorporate a provision starter button. The air vents are inspired by the exhausts of motorcycles, while the floor console mirrors the seat of a bicycle. Metallic accents abound throughout the interior. Alloy pedals and a leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob are also available.

Hyundai Veloster combines the style of a coupe and functionality of a hatchback, while incorporating a door on the passenger charge. In the past some have used small coupes rear access doors with hinges. These coupes always been compromised by having to open the driver’s door before the rear door can be opened and proved to be inconvenient for the driver and passenger, and extremely difficult to work in tight parking situations. Hyundai fresh take here implements a conventionally hinged door on the passenger side of the Hyundai Veloster, providing safe and ready access to the surprisingly roomy back seats. The rear door handle on the passenger side is hidden to keep the project coupe. RANGE 1.6-liter GDI
The new range-engine 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine is the smallest Hyundai uses gasoline direct injection (GDI). GDI technology helps deliver estimated fuel economy highway 40 mpg, lower emissions and higher reliability.
“The technology of gasoline direct injection allowed Hyundai engineers to create an engine that is powerful, low fuel consumption, and has less emissions,” said Hyundai American Technical Center Inc. (HATC) powertrain director, John Jurig. “Despite its small size, which generates some big numbers, both with impressive power output and up to 40 mpg on the highway.”
